What is a Frac Tank Cleaning
The Frac Tank is a large heavy gauge steel tank that is pulled by a tractor to a job site. A typical application may have a vacuum pump truck
fill the tank with a drilling fluid containing salt water, acid and pebbled mud which is then pumped into the well to crack the earth during the drilling operation. In our area most of the Frac tank cleaning is with gas stations servicing their tanks.
A Frac Tank here is used to hold water, or a petroleum or a mix. The material is held in a temporary tank while the main tank is serviced and reconditioned. Once the scope of the tank service is complete the temporary tank needs to be cleaned.
Frac Tanks floors are modified to obtain complete emptying of the fluid regardless of the slope of the ground on which it rests. These tanks are specially designed to allow all of the fluid to be able to be emptied from the tank without the need to slope the tank to allow complete evacuation as waste is often quite costly.
These Frac Tanks are design is to prevent all of the fluid from resting up against the front wall of the tank by providing converging pitched portion on the floor for the full length of the tank. Now this provides a low point in the container where the fluid is accessible to a contiguously located exit hole through where it is vacuumed out by a vacuum truck.
Frac Tank Cleaning needs to be done for regular maintenance, removal of sludge, or for decommissioning, J&J Environmental is equipped to efficiently clean even the most difficult tanks.
